Visiting Hours
When arriving at Kindred Hospital New Orleans, please sign in at our reception desk.
Hours:
- LTAC/Medical Units: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- ICU: 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.; 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
- Behavioral Health Unit: 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Cafeteria
The hospital cafeteria is located on the ground floor and is available to all staff and visitors.
Hours:
- Breakfast: 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m.
- Lunch: 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
- Complimentary coffee and tea service: 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Vending machines are located in the cafeteria.
Parking/Security
Free visitor parking is provided in designated areas of the hospital lot. Spaces for handicapped parking also are available. Additional parking is available at commercial lots near the hospital. (Please see receptionist for lot times and parking vouchers.) While we strive to keep all areas of the hospital secure, we are not responsible for vehicle damage, fire or theft while parked in the hospital lot.
Our security staff is on duty from 5 p.m. to 6 a.m. After 10 p.m., all doors are locked; please use the doorbell located at the front for admission after hours. The security staff provides escorts to and from cars.
Public Restrooms/Telephones
Public restrooms and telephones are located in several areas of the hospital. To make a local call from a room, please dial 9. If you need other assistance, please dial the hospital operator.
Family Concerns
Biweekly patient care conferences give five family members the opportunity to meet with the clinical staff and discuss their loved one’s current condition and progress, and to ask questions. Conference times may be scheduled by calling a case manager at extension 5151. Additionally, patients and families may address any concerns with the patient ambassador or by calling the hospital patient/family hotline at extension 5507.
